The children are referred to the Home by concerned individuals, organisations, schools and the Welfare Department. Upon receiving information on the children, the Home Committee would visit their homes and assess their situation and backgrounds to determine their eligibility to be accepted by the Home.
Upon approval by the Committee, the deserving children would have to undergo a medical examination before they are admitted to the Home. The Home accepts boys and girls. The maximum age for admission for boys is 11 years old. This is because the boys would leave the Home at 12 years old upon completion of their primary education. To help these boys proceed to secondary education, the Home would enrol with another welfare organisation in Kuala Lumpur upon the consent of their parents or guardians.
